Here's my problem, if you can call it that since it's more a minor annoyance than anything else. I'm running WinXP/SP3 on a Lenovo Thinkpad T42. I have a full version of Office 2003 installed, but I also retained the Office 95 toolbar (I like using it).

The toolbar functions just fine except for the button for Outlook 2003. For some reason a single left click will not launch the application, but right click and selecting -open- launches the application just fine.

I tried creating a new shortcut on the desktop (left double-click works just fine there) and dragging it into the toolbar, but as soon as it's on the toolbar the symptoms are the same.

I don't think it's an Office95/2003 compatibility issue since a link to a Word 2003 document on the toolbar works just fine.

Ideas?

If anybody knows, Jensen Harris does. (just did a bit of Googling and found he had a lot to do with this stuff) --

"Lead Program Manager on the Microsoft Office User Experience team and is one of the key designers behind the new user interface being introduced in Microsoft Office. Jensen joined Microsoft in 1998 and has contributed to a number of products for Windows and the Macintosh, including leading the redesign of the Outlook 2003 user interface. He has focused on the overall UI model for Microsoft Office since 2003."
