Vista and MS Office 2003 together (laptop, installed, work, software)

Question.

Can MS Office 2003 be used successfully with a Vista system on a HP laptop? Are there any concerns or conflicts which I should be aware.

No problem! Be sure to apply the latest Office service pack just to make sure any issues are addressed.

I've installed Office XP and 2003 without problems on Vista. Office 2000 installed but had major problems.

Since you brought up the subject of Vista compatibility, anyone tried Photoshop v7 and/or Illustrator 10 with vista?

Photoshop 7 is pretty old. How hold is Illustrator 10? When I first got Vista, I had Photoshop Elements 5.0 (1 version of out of date now) and it worked on Vista with a patch. I've tried to run Photoshop (not elements) 5 on XP as a restricted user and it was a pain in the butt because it expected 100% unrestricted access to the system. I suspect Photoshop 7 might be in the same boat. Turning off UAC should make it work but you never know. I wish I still had a copy of it to install on Vista and tell you what happens.

All the software I have is old, it's depressing. It is all so exspensive. Even student software cost a fortune. I think we all should go back to living without computers
