LOL. They are talking about 28.8 dialup I remember those days. I remember When I had a 2400 baud modem (2.4 dialup basically).

Heck, I remember my first modem, a 300 baud, and then got a speed demon 1200 baud. Downloading programs was a BIG pain as this was before zmodem download software came out and you could resume your download where you left off as I was always getting cut off in Hawaii.

Techtv had some decent programming back then. I don't think the industry understood just how important it was in bringing new customers to the table. Too bad it got sold out and destroyed. Now if Make Magazine would just start a tv network...

Ahh zdtv, those were the days. We still have TWiT and techtv offshoots, which is good. Leo Laporte does a bunch of pod casts, Security Now and Tech Guy are good.
