IMO, it's a corrupt driver.
I've had a few computers come to me with this symptom, in safe mode it stops at loading a certain driver, (IIRC it is mup.sys ) it's the one after that, that is corrupt. The corrupt driver is an Nvidia driver.
The only fix I've found is to reformat & reinstall windows.
The easiest way, if you have a lot of data on the corrupt drive, is to buy a cheap hard drive, then load windows on that. I then hook the corrupt drive as slave, delete the Windows files, saving the things I need, and running "my documents" off of that.
Where are my hearing aids? I hate when I have to ask someone to repeat themselves.
