Default Free Spyware??

I have been looking for something free online to take care of some of my PC, problems. I had found this place called "Intelinet" from what I was reading seems to be a good sight.

However after down loading the software it did a check on my PC. Found like 1200 problems. I clicked OK "Fix" Then it put me back on there web sight to pay 39.99 to fix all my problems. They had a 7 day tril 7.99, so what the hell... Right!!?? Paid the 7.99 and they gave me a unlock key to use on what I had down loaded. RIGHT!! It didnt work.. Emailed them a few times NOTHING!!

Anyone know of something thats really free that could help me out??

Spent 8 bucks for nothing...

Go to www.filehippo.com

Click on the Anti-Spyware heading. Any of the first three on the resulting page are good.

Yeah you got free spyware allright. And ripped off to make it worse. I think what you are looking for is ANTI-spyware. The difference is pretty important.

Don't go looking for free virus.

I've been using MalwareBytes AntiMalware with good success lately. Its free too. Just google it.

For next time, make sure there isn't a next time. This is truly a case where an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure. Don't fall for every come-on on the net. You don't need free toolbars. You don't need free smileys for you email. You don't need free wallpapers and screen savers. You don't need a 12 inch...errr.. You don't need to boost your computer's performance 400%.

Keep Windows updated. Use a reputable free antivirus like AVG Free. Use Firefox if you feel you can't resist the urge to click on everything shiny and glittery on the net. Don't use peer to peer pirateware like Limewire.

Another source I found out about are that there are a lot of free e-card sites that will happily give you adware of one flavor or another.

BTW, all of the free programs will be asking for donations, but they don't demand it. I've given them a little occasionally, but not lately.

AntiMalware is free, but it is shareware, and is free for probably 30 days. Then if you want to use it again, you'll have delete the old copy and download a fresh copy.

I don't see anything about a 30 day limit on the free version. They do have a paid version that adds realtime protection.

Name: Backdoor.Win32.RAdmin.ag!A2

Description:

The term Backdoor describes a specific group of Trojan Horses. As Trojans, they are not able to spread itself to other computers. Backdoors allow attackers full control over the victim's PC. Mostly they are split into 3 parts:
  1. Server
The part which is put on the victim's PC and takes control over the PC.
  2. Client
A little program used by the attacker to connect to the server and control the computer.
  3. Editor
An additional tool to create the server program. It allows the attacker to create an unique server and allows him to set all options and rules for the server.
Backdoors are wide spread today. They are one of the most dangerous software programs for users surfing the web beside Worms, Dialers, Spyware and Trojans.

Just found this little guy. looks like someone was having a good time with my PC!

It seems some versions are free and others have limits. The one at Geeks is shareware, so it must be one of the temporary, "try out out" pro versions or something. I'm happy just having a 'run at will' program.
