I use Picasa, and the last time I opened it, it upgraded itself from 2 to 3 and vanished. Now I can't find it anywhere on my computer! I know it's there - somewhere - but the ONLY place it shows up is in the Add/Delete list. Nowhere else. Any ideas how or where I can look for it? I normally open it at least once a week, so it stays on my startup list, along with a few others. The others, if I goof and wait too long, I can find somewhere among the programs, but not Picasa 3. The only thing that shows up now is a 'Configure Picasa Viewer' thing, and no matter what I do with that, it doesn't open the program, either.
I have Windows XP Home ed, if that makes a difference.
It's under C:\ProgramFiles\Google\Picasa3. If you find it, send the shortcut to the desktop.
I know that, it just doesn't show up however I try to list files, run programs, anywhere! Like I said, the ONLY place it shows up is in the 'add/delete' thing. I can click on any picture I can find, but then it only shows the picture, and I get another 'configure Picasa viewer' message added to the first one. Very frustrating, since all of my pics are there somewhere, but I can't get to them.
Success, finally! I finally found it, and I have NO idea how or where - but it's back up on my start-up menu again. Only took me 3 days and a lot of frustration. Now, if all those 'configure Picasa viewer' things would just vanish...
