All the support material seemed to indicate that i should be able to hear sound thru my computer's speakers when i connected this turntable with the USB cable. I followed all the instructions for installation, went thru troubleshooting several times, followed links for diagnostics, reinstalled software,.....
Anyhow, I must have done something right because I just now finished recording my first vinyl album to my hardrive AND I was able to listen to it thru my speakers. I don't know what I did different this time, but it works. Now if it just continues to work until I get all my 140 albums transferred!
Thanks to those who have made suggestions.

I just got a sony lx 300 usb turn table and the way I see it it should work just like a usb microphone. Plug in the usb cord from the turntable and presto instant record/ play back with Audacity. Why else would you want a usb turn table?? Ya I can hook it up with regular rca jacks into my stereo and play it but that is not what I want to do.

So I'm sadly disappointed the stupid POS usb turntable does not work for me either. I tried the crappy drm ladden software that came with it plus Audacity along withseveral other other sound software programs I have but I could not get any thing to work. Did I say POS. It does not come with drivers just the crappy software. (audio studio)

I'm running windows 7 on an inspiron1545 lap top.
All I can think of is some type DRM is blocking it or the USB audio decoder in the turntable is not working. I would not recomend this turntable until this problem is solved. I have already spent too much of my precious freetime on this!
