I've never heard anyone say that. Presarios have to be the slowest, most crapware filled machines I've ever worked on. They have a real talent for taking a machine that looks OK on paper and making it run like a 6 year old machine, right out of the box.

ok , so here we are. so what kind of computer should i get ? i'm hearing bad things about both the one i want and the one i have. so can anyone recommend one that isn't junky or slow ?

Easy way to fix the "extra stuff" they add.
Every manufacturer adds the same stuff, Compaq, Dell, HP, emachines.
Advanced users know what to do with the stuff.. add remove/programs. Gone.

I've owned 6 presarios, never had issues with any of them.
I don't doubt that most of the problems are user generated.

How much do you want to spend?
The Presario you're using isn't a bad machine. It needs more ram.

How much do you want to spend?
The Presario you're using isn't a bad machine. It needs more ram.
probably around 1500 bucks tops
