The WD passport works on both Mac and PC, but I have noticed that Seagate's FreeAgent seems to only work on one or the other? I do prefer a Seagate becuase I can get a discount but I need it to work on both. Does the FreeAgent work on both?

I don't see why not, as long as formatted in a compatible file system, which is FAT32 if you want to swap between computers.
