You can avoid that by a)creating separate windows accounts or b)download and install firefox and use it exclusively for yourself.

cb at sea - did you try the solution suggested by Brian.Pearson?

IE:
Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>Sites>Paste Url {which would be www.city-data.com}>Click "Allow"

Another thought, just to troubleshoot, in the same internet options Tools pages:

click on the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Security section and make sure 'Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed' is UNchecked. Leave city-data, close your browser, then restart it and go to city-data and see if it remembers you.

One last question - you aren't clicking Log Out, right?
