Timing of your post was quite a propos --- just last night my sister was telling me she had to take a class - yes, take a class! - in order to learn how to use Excel ... now I see why.

The new non-menu in Office 2007 was the last straw for me. I finally installed OpenOffice and work the way I always did.

I love the new Office 2007 ribbons. I don't know why people are having such trouble with them. Sure, they aren't better in every way, but in most ways they are far superior. Not to mention with a little reading you can learn to create some fantastic ribbons of your own pretty easily.
