I was just reading this note and wondered if you agree with this:

By my experience, I'd have to disagree. I thought a partition install was much easier. I just used Parted Magic to create another partition, rebooted with the LinuxMint install disk, then LinuxMint installed itself flawlessly.

And I'm still a newbie at Linux.

By the way, I've read/listened to Clark Howard for awhile now and he's got excellent tips on everything.
