Go to a computer store and thoroughly test out Vista to see what you're missing!

Nothing is installed on store computers, they are locked down so you can't 'see' much, and certainly 'do' less. Type in notepad, look at a couple of sample pictures play with screen savers, what am I missing?

I ran Vista for a month before I decided that there was nothing I was missing, but certainly things I wanted to miss, and got bored with the nag nag nag, then the nag nag about turning the nag nag off.

Enlighten me and tell me what I'm missing, if you can.

I have an OS that works, stays the hell out of my way, and runs my applications, and that is the job of an OS.

PS: it won't automatically backup your files either, that is your responsibility

XP 32 bit is very weak for large amounts of mega web browsing. It would cough and run into memory leaks if over 14+ set of tabbed IE7 web browsers. After horrendous memory leaks from closing browsers, I had to reboot ... so inconvenient.

With Google Chrome and Vista 64 bit my i7 920 6gb ddr3 10666 computer doesn't even cough on 18+ sets of tabbed browsers... Yeah, better browser and OS!

How is it comparable using IE on XP and Chrome on Vista?? The proper test would be IE on both or Chrome on both.

Yeah, true... I got fed up with how slow IE7 was and how poor it's Favorites management was! Might give it a try but will take time.

Switch to Chrome though! It saves ebay auctions too! - Something IE7 prevents!

Perhaps you should spend some time learning to backup data instead of "mega browsing" <simulated echo>

Good grief one open browser with 6 tabs tops covers my needs very well, tops, 1 browser w/2 tabs currently. Is there that much porn (well I guess there is ), but 30, 40, 100 open webpages

The last OS where I routinely rebooted due to stability and memory was 95, which caused me to move to NT 4.0, skipping 98 and ME.

Better browser? you said you are running IE7, better than what; IE6?
