If Tinman is really looking for power gaming notebooks, the MSI Wind U123 will not even begin to qualify. The U123 has an Atom processor and older Intel 945 chipset and graphics.

No, but if you read the posts, you'll see that he mentioned a particular dealer and I said I'd just ordered something from that dealer and I'd let him know how that went.

This one is interesting, but I challenge the conclusion of mail fraud.

Frosty Computers Complaints - Mail fraud

And a response from Frosty on another site. Look for the single star rating (All others are 5 star)

Business Profile for Frosty Computers
It's the same person posting those complaints over and over (the one about "What I received were two power supplies instead of the laptop") - if you look at frostycomputers ebay rating, it's actually pretty good. He seems to rely on cut-and-paste in his ads a bit often which has gotten him some complaints over "open box" merchandise which is labeled as such at the top of the page but down in the body of the listing it says "new in unopened box."

I did check out the company on Google, because I had planned on ordering through Amazon initially, until I saw he had them in stock and Amazon didn't even have an estimated in-stock date. So far, all I know about him is that he shipped promptly and he returned both of my phone calls within minutes. Haven't actually gotten the product yet, so we'll see.

There is also an MSI Wind forum (not affiliated with the company MSI) and he posts in there often and seems to have a fairly good relationship with the posters. There is also a b it of discussion there about the gaming laptops.

What I've seen so far (except for that one persistent poster) has been good. I always wonder what sets off someone that way. Real or imagined?

I had read that prior to my post..... that's what I was curious about. Not looking for a gaming system. 2+ gb for doing photo editing and WiFi is all I'm looking for in a 15-16 Lap Top....
