YEY! I found it! It took a little more searching...

And yes, I have AVG 8.5

I now have it set for 3AM.

no error msgs when I uninstalled.
Click 'start' and then type services.msc...where? what box do I type it in?
sorry I am so computer illiterate.....

Since you have Vista, when you hit the Start button, anything you type immediately after will be in the search box. Just type services.msc and hit enter. The services snap-in will launch.

ok found it, but can't do a search right now cuz I'm not ready to fully uninstall the AVG.
but when I am ready, other than doing the normal 'unistall program', I know there is another step that needs to be done, to get all the parts of the program out...can u let me know?
