My friend just received a notebook from HP because her previous one was send back 3 x to HP with not much results other than it wasn't working. So they replaced it with this one and immediately this one has wireless internet connection issues.

Any one else have similar issues and how did you get them solved?

You'll have to define "wireless internet connection issues", We can't suggest a solution if we don't know the problem.

The following is what she wrote me...there is no wireless button in the front. i think its like in front of the screen, if you press it, it only switches to other off or disabled, there is no "on" or "enabled".

so i cant connect to the internet. when i do the troubleshooting it says i need to switch the button to on which it clearly isnt doing.

After a system recovery (on a brand new comp. that she got 2 days ago) it started to work, but she is worried what if it happens again and again....

I hope this helps...Thanks, for trying!

Well, if the issue is solved, there's not much to troubleshoot
It was likely a driver issue, it's not at all impossible that there was a software/driver issue out of the box brand new. Considering all the garbage HP loads on their consumer grade laptops I'm surprised they work at all.

If it happens again I would suggest visiting HP's support web site and downloading and installing the latest wi-fi driver they have available.
