I've used Firefox for years now, no problem. All the sudden this morning when I close one tab they all disappear. The pages are still open, I just can't get to them because the tabs are gone. If I open a new tab, they all reappear.

Under the Firefox menu, open "Preferences." (The menu choice may be called something else on the Windows version.) Select the "Tabs" tab from that window.

At the bottom of the Tabs tab is "Hide the tab bar:" and 3 buttons. It's probably set to "When I have only one tab" and you'll need to change that. Pick "Never" from those choices and close the window.

That should put it back the way you want it to work!

My menu is different. I had to choose "Always show the tab bar" but now I always have to have 3 tabs open. Can't close the last 3. Oh well, it's better than not being able to close any without losing them all.

I was wrong about 3 tabs, I opened 15 tabs and NONE would close. Shut down FF and rebooted. It seems to be working now. Thanks all.

As a recommendation from someone who likes additional options for Firefox Tab functions, you might want to install the free add-on called Tab Utilities.

For me, it is one of those really nice to have add-ons.
