I'm new to this. Everytime I post a link I have to write it down, which is a pain and a recipe for transcription errors, and then type the whole "shmeal" in myself.
I know you can cut-copy and paste but I have tried to do this and I cannot get the correct procedure. I am using Windows Vista Service Pack2. Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to do this?????
Click once on the address bar to turn it blue. Hold down the CTRL key while you tap C (shortcut for Copy). Then go to the message thread where you want to post the link and do CTRL-V (Paste) and your link will be posted.

Thankyou......I got it now...I was clicking cut with the procedure and doing something dumb...I just got it to work. Thank you for your time! I was forgetting to keep the( URL? link?) blue....if that makes sense.

Thing to remember, cut removes the data from where it is and won't always work, copy is the option you want to use.
Also, if for some reason all the text in the address bar doesn't turn blue when you click on it you can press ctrl + A to select it all. You can then copy paste as normal.

Thank you also...I finally was able to link a youtube video with one of my posts....
I left click on the URL, turn it blue; right click: click copy. Minimize window; start cursor where I want to attach, right click and VOILA!
