I am trying to learn to work with my new Windows 7 and Sony Vaio...
One thing I cannot figure out...
On my other computer , when I wanted to put a website
desktop shortcut up I just right clicked and clicked desktop shortcut..
Right now to do the same thing I have to cut the address
bar/ go to the desktop / right click/ click shortcut/ paste in the address/
then name it...

Grab the little icon immediately to the left of the "http" in the address bar and drag it to the desktop. Instant shortcut to whatever URL you're viewing. This works in Internet Explorer and Firefox.

That's how I do it in Windows 7.
Right click and click on "Create Shortcut."

This works in Chrome also, just drag the "star".
