What's the Highest Memory Load You Ever Had?

I got 12 gb DDR3 1066 on a Core i7 920. Awesome web browsing PC if I use Google Chrome. Had 30 tabbed web browsers open + programs for a 6.85 GB memory load - Max I've ever had... system was not coughing ... still worked fast enough on Vista 64 SP2. See the pic...

What about you max memory loads and your computer build?

You see.... you still need a fast computer with lotsa memory for MEGA WEB BROWSING!

And IE8 is slow and it sucks. I love Google Chrome and it's my main browser and it saves ebay auction pages.

The only problem with IE8 64-bit is that Adobe Flash Player is not supported yet. Hopefully, this will happen in 2010.

That's not a problem, it's a bonus, no flash ads and such. There are many sites that want to install flash when you visit, with it's sole purpose being advertising, I find very few sites I regularly visit that need flash to view content.

Agree on that point; however, what I was getting at is you can't play any flash videos and it seems almost every site uses this technology these days.

Whats the point of spending all that money on a "mega web browsing" PC when you can only view one tab at a time?

What are you talking about? All the major browsers have tabbed browsing.

I'm well aware of that. But as a human being you can only read one at a time. Whats the point of spending all the money the OP spent just to have a machine that can open 30 tabs?

Multi tasking. Right now I have two emails, a sourceforge project I'm browsing, my version control software, an ftp client, and CD open and I"m moving back and forth between them.

My highest load has been 1.92 gig, on a 2gig machine.
