I have an acer aspire 3680 and want to know how much does it cost for the frame that covers the LCD screen plus all of the wires that go inside? And about how much should it cost for labor? does the frame usually come with the wires or do you have to order the wires seperately? and is this hard to find or do am I suppose to buy it from acer?

also, how much do the hinges cost?

For the specs of this notebook, it would be more economical to replace it with current technology probably for about $400ish. Labor ($200ish) and parts (front panel, rear panel, hinges, harnesses). Here is a link that may help in pricing out the parts. http://www.excelcomputerinc.com/html...and=acer#link4

Walmart online shows new 3680s for under $400. I'd had very bad luck using local computer stores. Hopefully yours is better.

The hinge on my Acer 3610 has cracked, so I tried to fix it with JD Weld. That seemed to work for a little while, but then it cracked open again. Now I just leave the laptop open and don't take it anywhere. I can't afford a new laptop and have a desktop. When I am able to replace it, I think I'll go with a notebook or netbook.
