Does anyone have recommendations for a cheap (as possible) laptop that has a high resolution screen. My old Latitude finally died and I'm in the market for a new one, but I am really disappointed in the resolution of a 1366 x 768 screen.

I'm looking for a 15" or so laptop with a higher resolution screen, but don't care too much about processor speeds or other extras. I know the Dell Studio 15 is available with 1920x1080 resolution, but I was wondering if there were other manufacturers I could look at as well.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Lenovo/IBM has a Thinkpad with a 1680X1080 for about $600 for sale in their outlet.
Lenovo Outlet - ThinkPad T500 (http://outlet.lenovo.com/laptops/224r8hbebp.html - broken link)
They sell returns, discontinued items, ordered but not shipped, etc. for substantial discounts.
They have higher resolution laptops in the outlet, but you'll be paying $900-$1,000 for those.

They are good deals. Solid laptops.
Fujitsu has a laptop with an 18" high resolution screen for $1200.
FUJITSU: Fujitsu America - LifeBook NH570 Notebook
Fujitsu's laptops are quite good. I've had one for years. Sturdy and equipped with useful stuff, like extra USB ports.
