Good advice from one who knows. I should be more careful.

Spritzing the screen is one thing, but how many laptop owners think the screen is like the windows in their house and spray the screen?

I just use disposable eyeglass cleaning wipes, after cleaning my glasses with them.
No known issues yet.

Well THANKS for the link - Chevy found it very interesting..

I have been using a swifter duster No point in introducing any liquid if not required..
A cotton ball with a little H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) will take off any fingerprints

We keep moist wipes on hand for when the baby grandson come to visit and I've used those on flat panel monitors and TV sets. I guess you could say I clean computer monitors with baby butt wipes!

I use pixelclean. I'm sure its not the only type of its kind. But I got a free bottle and never went away from it. It never streaks and definitely looks much better than just lightly watered microfiber.

I may be tempting fate, but it really doesn't seem to be a problem.

As IT people though we are used to dealing with the lowest common denominator. So to cover our own butts we tell people to spray the cloth and wipe the screen. You can certainly spray the screen directly if you just use a little care. One small sp[ritz is usually enough.

Also lint free clothes, although nice, and generally comlpetely unneeded.
Paper Towel + Windex = Done.
