Hi I am looking to move to Connecticut soon and I am looking to rent a 1-2 bedroom apt in .some quiet areas in or near stamford, ct. Affordable rents range from $850- $1000. any suggestions?

Seriously, you're numbers aren't realistic. A good clean studio would cost that much or more.

Check out carriage houses in North Stamford. Might be a small 1 bedroom or studio for that price, but it is quiet and pretty.

Unfortunately, your budget really wont get you anything in a safe and quiet area near Stamford....Is it possibly to up your budget at all??

Your budget is small for the area. Can you make due with a studio? Check out Craigslist to get a good general feel for what's available in your price range.

If you are going to be working in Stamford and realistically cannot pay more than $1000 for rent, you should consider living in Bridgeport and taking the train down. You will need to pay $1300+/mo in order to secure a 1BR apartment within 10-15 miles of Stamford.
