White Castle: Can I have some burger with my onions?
Duchess: Did someone say they have the best fries? Are you kidding? Duchess is much better than McDonalds and Burger King, but their fries are the weakest part of their menu. They used to be very good. Not anymore.

Burger King is the absolute king, lol, when it comes to fries. They're definitely the best for em.
Oh boy, when's this happening? I like White Castle, and I miss it. McDonald's is definitely my favorite fast food though, but this is good news for me lol.
McDonalds is got to be the worst food in the Fast Food Chains here in the States .
I tired the new Sonic that opened on Route 5 and it beats McDonalds hands down.

I am surprised that there is such narrow offering of fast food chains in Connecticut. It's mostly McDonald's, Burger King and Wendys. A few DQ's and Arby's. In Southern Connecticut you have Duchess. Subway is the predominate non-burger alternative. Panera is a decent but pricier alternative as well.
It is amazing that no one can come up with some menu items that appeal to a wide group of people that offers something appetizing that is different and perhaps healthier.
Finally, someone mentions Duchess! Duchess is my favorite fast food restaurant restaurant hands down--better fries than any national chain and their veggie burgers are made with actual veggies (carrots, bell peppers, water chestnuts) rather than condensed vegetable protein that you would find at mega chains. My fiance will also drive far out of his way to get Duchess hot dogs and fries. I've had a few friends that are repulsed by their beef burgers, but with the enormous selection Duchess offers you can't go wrong.
I love Duchess too. Really enjoy the Big D. The Milford one near the truck stop has specials everyday like meatloaf, chicken parm, etc. It is definitely a better alternative than McD's.
I only wish they would expand into the Hartford area.
And Ct. is one of thinnest states. I think there is a definite correlation.
Your probably right. When I'm on the road and hungry and I evaluate the offerings I usually choose to skip lunch and wait until I get home to make my own meal.
Build me a Carl's Jr. here in CT and and get rid of a few D&D's and Subways...
