YUCK! You must be kidding. I get sick everytime I eat a BK. Their fake flame cooking just turns my stomach and their fries taste fake IMHO. Jay

I prefer not to eat ANY fast food. If half of you who are obsessing over these chains knew how many calories, how much saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol you were taking in in even a KID SIZED meal, you would be grossed out. So called "fresh" chains are no better, e.g. Panera Bread, Subway, Quiznos. Processed meats, food dye, high fructose corn syrup, etc. Nasty!

As already noted in the thread by ATTW3, CT is one of the fittest states, as is Colorado and I believe Vermont. This is true for a reason.

Don't hesitate to read the nutrition information.

I try to avoid the chains as much as possible but it is hard when you are busy and have kids and need to eat fast. What I can not stand is how much salt everything has at these chains and restaurants. I almost never go to Boston Market because their food is so salty (Chili's too). I think they have cut back a little but for a while there I could not even eat anything there. I went the other night for the first time in years (I was desparate) and it was not too bad but still it was more salty than I like. The funny thing is I grew eating salt on my foods. Guess my tastes have changed. Jay

Cool Addicted to Chick-Fil-A

Chick-fil-A is SOOO good...everytime I am home 'Atlanta' I get Chick-Fil-A three times at least. They have a awesome breakfast menu too, for a fast food place. Love the chicken biscuit! Love Chick-Fil-A advertising too..cows that write anti-beef slogans is genius.

Dutchess....sadly, I have never been here nor heard of it until now, may have to make a trip for that.

Sonic...decent burgers...when we had one near our house in Atlanta we went maybe twice a year...so it's not THAT good, but its a nice alternative.

White Castles..my mom loves these things and always gets them when she goes home to Detroit, but they are not good. Only good thing is sometimes they are open 24hrs and they make a good late night/drunken snack. Comparable to Taco Bell IMO in terms of quality and taste.

Hey me too, I wasn't talking about their food lol, just their fries. I really don't like much of anything at BK except maybe the chicken sandwich and the double stacker one, but I just love their fries, they're perfect.

It is pretty hard I agree. I usually try to go to a deli or something if we have to eat out. A little more expensive but their food is fresh and you can make what you want. Granted I don't have older kids so we're not always on the go (yet), so we will see what happens in coming years.

I'll admit, we are health nuts.

You'll regret it later in life. Diabetes, etc will creep up on you.

I'm sure you're probably already aware, but i'll mention it anyway. HFCS is extremely difficult to avoid.

Oh, and my .02 on Duchess is that they used to be pretty good, along with Subway. Both have declined tremendously over the years.
