Wethersfield has a number of duplexes along Middletown Avenue as well as a few in Old Wethersfield and off Jordan Lane. Jay

Those were just "for examples"...most towns have multifamilies you just have to find them..you never know. For example, there's a cape style home on East St in Plainville for sale that is actually a two family home...never would've thought it was.
Also a good town to look into is Southington!!

I know I am a tad late on this one but I would keep my eyes peeled in newington b/c the pricing isn't as bad. If you give it time you will find one. Most of the other places like Wethersfield, West Hartford, ect will not work as well due to cost of the home. There are multi-family units in most towns but the numbers don't work in these towns unless you stumble into something great. You can buy a home on Middletown Ave in Wethersfield for sale right now but it's listed at 270 and collect 1200/mo from the other side, or buy for 75k less in a nicer neighborhood of a town like Manchester and collect 1000/mo.
