hI ,
I am an indian and recently my husband has got a job opportunity to work in Shelton , Connecticut...
We have lots of queries and finding the answers...
1 ) How about the cost of living in Shelton ? Is it more expensive or medium or reasonable
2 ) Will there be many indian families settled over there ?
3 ) What about the crime rate ?
4 ) Is it safest place to settle down ?
5 ) About the tourist places in and around shelton , CT ?
kINDLY provide me with the data you know....

It's about as safe as they come and relatively affordable. There's a very good high school named after St. Joseph. I think they wouldn't mind having students from India especially if they can play basketball. GL.

If you are referring to St. Joseph high school, that's a private Catholic school actually located in Trumbull.

To the OP, Shelton is a small, affordable city with a lot to offer. Overall, I think the crime rate is relatively low. It has a mix of wealthier neighborhoods down to more blue-collar homes and apartments. Your budget will determine your options, if you can give us an idea of what you can afford that will be more helpful. There are other towns and cities around Shelton that might also be of interest to you.

hi ,
actually my husband is looking for a PG accomodation or room sharing with indians in a reasonable rent. kindly help us in providing the contacts of those in finding the same.
Cities in and around shelton , with about 500 - 700 $ / month rent is affordable by us.
kindly give high priority and reply for this...

In addition to Shelton, look in Derby and Ansonia. They are near Shelton, and might be a little more affordable. Still, there will not be a lot of options in your price range of $500-700.

I meant no offence. Victorinox has a big plant in Shelton that employes a lot of people. Good luck.
