Kid is correct. The Connecticut Economic Resource Center has New Milford's populaiton at just under 28,000. I am not sure why you think there is only 6,000 people there. It is a pretty big town with a nice small downtown and most of your shopping and entertainment needs. Plus there is even a small hospital there too. Jay

I also googled the question and just took first 2 results :

City-Data.com appears to only be including information from one census tract that covers the center of town. I have notified them of this error. Jay

IMO City-Data is useless for getting accurate information, for this reason. Like I've said before, they only cover census designated places, not actual incorporated places. I get all my info directly from the Census website instead, but these forums are fabulous.
