Default Lesbian life in CT?

I just got a great job offer in Stamford, CT. From various on-line sources, looks like CT is a great place to live, but it looks like there is not much in the way of a gay single scene. Is that right??? As much as I love the job, I'm a little worried about moving to CT from Chicago if there isn't much in the way of a social scene.

The gay scene in Stamford is not all the bad- its not Chicago- but then again the distance to NYC is less then an hour- so while Connecticut is sedate is some ways- it still offers many gay and lesbian social organizations beyond the club scene. The Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is noteworthy at Trinity College in Hartford.

Yale University in New Haven has a very active Lesbian community.

In Fairfield county see Triangle Community Center - Newsletter

This is fantastic! Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. Incidentally, do you know if New Haven is too far away to commute into Stamford everyday?

The commute via auto is horrible on I 95- I would not even try it, from New Haven to Stamford.

Metro north is another matter- much easier and quicker; with a reasonable commute time.
