Nope, Nope.

With no sun the house isn't going to warm up on its own and it already dipped below 60F so here we go. A fire for heat in June. 1st time ever for me.

Almost lunch time and struggling past 40s??

Normal is 70s today and its the second day staying in the 40s/50s during the day.

Heat on inside and outside looks tropical with the drizzle, wet landscape, and greenage. June 2nd.

I took this shot this morning as I went for a jog in the woods.

Don't worry folks, global warming will kick in any minute...

Oh wait...

And NASA already admits we been "cooling" since 2000. Now we'll start to see "excuses" why we're cooling. Something the earth has done back and forth for millions of years and something "they" do with the brainwashing every 3 decades or so.

But again.. the globe averages has nothing to do with local weather. Fire started for 2nd time today.. Cant believe how chilly it is.

And so it begins. I've got 2 seasons now; "winter" and "prepare for winter".

And... here's my Winter 2015-16 Stacks. I have 4.5 cords ready. Would like 1-2 more for the "just in case" like last year. lol

Mixed Maples, Oaks, Hickorys here.

Also mixed hardwoods here.

And here's Winter 2016-17 seasoning.

All Cherry here. Mmmmmm! These might be ready this winter if I need them. (maybe towards February)

And the other pile for Winter 2016-17. Have a total of 3 so far. Trying to stay ahead 2 yrs to get proper seasoning and in case I cant get wood in the Spring like this year. Not easy to come by for some reason.

Sugar Maple in front, Ash, Cherry in back.

I suspect that next wnter is going to be much colder than the last, so I'm stocking up on wood much as posible .
I can use propane if I must but wood seems to heat better.IMO
I prefir the cold my self ,
During the days here latelly its been 108 but fortunately only once in a while right now. summer is not here yet.
right now it's 55 degrees at 5: AM a nice cool morning .

We are getting close. The nights are starting to get chilly. Are you fellow wood burners ready? Can't wait for the first fire.

Despite oil being cheap I am still burning like its 4.25 a gallon...

I know you are Cam. lol

I got about 3 cords seasoned and ready.

The pictures are from 2 years ago.

Free wood dropped off by a landscaper friend. I have to cut and split it but love doing it.
