I have 2 sons (20's) that are professional & sporty but
would never wear their polos collars up! not cool
...

I think having a "popped collar" is more of a south thing. I've seen college kids in VA, FL, MD and NC with them recently. Here in CT, you won't see them. It's "cooler" to wear a nice polo with the collar down. It looks cleaner and, IMO, less tacky.

I have been a Milford resident for 7 years now. I have seen the small transformation of "snuttiness" by NY'ers and Gold Coaster's coming up this way. It hasn't really affecting too much of the town but I think it will start becoming more prevelant as time goes by. I understand where JLH00 is coming from. Some normal things such as Santa "Christmas on the green", Parades rerouted, Homes displaced for economic gain. Some examples -

Town to sell the historic John Downs House - The Connecticut Post Online - Trust wants Milford to keep Downs House

'Historic' plan detailed for complex
The Connecticut Post Online - 'Historic' plan detailed for complex

Milford Volunteers Fife and Drum Corps has been snubbed by Local Downtown Businesses.

Big issues with property assessments and taxes
