Some of the worst drivers on CT roads have a MA plate on the car.

I am on the highways all the time and do not see what you are talking about in any kind of volume. Perhaps, it's your MA attitude that you brought with you that tells you you own the road and the person in front of you MUST move out of your way in 5 seconds or less while you ride inches from their bumper.

After your first ticket from the State Police (just wait till you see the amount. lol) you might start to get it.

Lol, I haven't had a speeding ticket in over a decade. I'm not an overly aggressive driver, I don't tailgate, and usually I'm doing the speed limit or 5-10mph over (depending on the road conditions, traffic, etc)

I'm just speaking from my experience in this area. It's not ALL the time that this occurs, but it's happened enough times for me to take notice that it's not so random of a thing.

It just seems like there's a lot more people in this area that have no problem driving below the speed limit (and not just 1-3mph but TEN!) or who want to hit every possible red light.

I've always thought of Mass drivers as among the worst drivers (M*******s), second only to NJ. But I agree about how infuriating it is when slow drivers take over the left lane.

The left lane is meant to be the passing lane. People who just coast along in the left lane for miles doing 55 are crappy drivers. If you're scared of driving on I95, don't -- or stick to the middle lane so we can get around you. Thanks.

Really? I see it all the time and I'm not a fast driver.

Also, as a former m******* I don't disagree that there are some real pricks from MA on the roads. But my experience there was more with hyper-aggressive drivers as opposed to people going 10 below the posted limit here in CT

I just want to clarify that I do see drivers in the left lane pacing other vehicles in the right lane. As for them going 10 below (45mph on most highways, 55 on others), I rarely see that. Because of the congestion in Connecticut, 45-55 in the left lane would most likely cause a pileup.

I believe the OP is exaggerating just a bit.

Why does this thread pop up every couple of months?

Personally, I find nothing infuriating about driving in Connecticut. I found nothing infuriating about driving in Texas either. I don't have these dramatic experiences driving that other seem to. I am writing this from Salt Lake City. I have been here on business since Sunday, and haven't really seen any difference in the driving here.

If you waste your time getting mad over what other drivers do, I'd highly suggest some relaxation exercises. Personally I think the people who get "violent road rage" are the same people who are apt to beat their spouse and children. If other drivers just make you mad, you probably get mad about a lot of other little things as well...

Life is too short to be infuriated all the time.

Funny that I have had the exact opposite experience. Generally I have experienced the same bad/good driver ratio all over the US (and yes, foreign countries as well).

Taking it internationally, the worst driving I have seen thus far in my travels is Rome. That is some scary stuff.

Agreed. I've said this before on here, but the way one drives is most definitely a reflection of their personality.

I'm not sure if I'd say their driving is the worst. They have to be pretty damned skilled to drive that way...
