Default Leaving my car at the airport

I have never left my car at the airport before. Any idea of where the best place to leave it is during the thanksgiving weekend? can you also give me a ballpark figure of what it would cost me. Ill be gone for about 5 days and getting dropped off at the airport is not an option.

Oh its bradley

We always park in an off-premises lot. We've always gone to the Galaxy lot. It's about $7 or $8 per day.

They constantly have shuttle buses driving through so when they get to your car, you just hop on, and they take you to the airport (right to the airline that you're flying with).

When you get back, the buses will be outside waiting (or they will be there shortly), but make sure you get on the right bus -- there's a bus for every lot. If you get back late, you might have to call them to come, but we've never had to do that.

PS. Don't forget to tip the guy a couple of bucks when he drops you at the airline door, and back at your car.

We always leave our cars at Roncari which is the closest to the terminals. We have never had a problem and always liked their service. Check out their website for discount coupons or if you have AAA you can get one too. It is about $8 per day with the discount. A linnk to their website is below. Jay

I fly very frequently. I leave my car at FastTrack airport parking. I use the Red self-park lot which is $7 per day. Their shuttle buses are reliable. I have also used their valet parking service which is a bit more expensive, but it's nice to have your car pulled and waiting for you when you arrive!

I'll throw out who I usually use. Z Parking..It's valet style. Leave the car, they park, and when you return it'll be up front waiting for you next to the payment desk. I've used them for years, sometimes even for long term 20+ days. I believe $7 using the discount. I use either a AAA or my work company related discount. And I only tip if I have bags for the driver to carry usually. Just saying..

See how everyone is suggesting valet lots? That's because they cost about as much as the airport long-term self-park lots, and the shuttle service tends to be a bit better. Much faster to take you to the terminal, at least, which is very nice in the winter.

I've used a bunch of them, and the only one I didn't like was Executive, because they are on the opposite side of the airport from the direction I'm coming from. If I'm going to drive 5 minutes past the Fast Track lots, I'll just go to the Fast Track lots.

Another related question. What time should i get there? Im flying thanksgiving day. My flight departs at 8:20am. I have only flown twice in my life and that was many years ago. Im actually pretty nervous about the situation

Don't be nervous. It's all going to be fine!

I'm a bit of an alarmist when it comes to this timing stuff but, I think, because of the new TSA scanning procedure, you've got to allow yourself quite a bit of time. The day BEFORE Thanksgiving is the big, big travel day, but still...

You're going to want to find a parking lot, park, get the shuttle. Allow half an hour for this, just in case.

And, if you're anything like me, you'd rather be early and have to wait, rather than rush and PRAY that you make your flight. Again, I don't know how busy the airport will be on Thanksgiving Day, but I'd want to be IN the airport 1.5 hours before the flight departs.

So, that's 2 hours. I don't know how long the drive is from your house, but I'd want to be pulling into the parking lot by 6.20am. My husband would likely throw a fit if he heard me say that, but we've never missed a flight *my way.*
