Bolton is a very beautiful town. The town is rural, and consist of hills, forests, pastures, farms and a very tiny center. There are some newer small sub divisions of homes, plus small scattered neighborhoods and stand alone homes.

Very attractive views through out the town.

From Wikipedia;
Bolton is a town in Tolland County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 5,017 at the 2000 census and encompasses 14.7 square miles. Bolton was incorporated in October 1720 and is governed by town meeting.

The towns school system is extremely well-reputed within the state despite its relatively small enrollment (<400 students). The high school is affiliated with the NCCC athletic conference, and in its first year of participation, won the conference tennis championship and were runner up Class S state champions in Cross Country

Route 6, one of the most dangerous roads in the nation, splits the town in half. Despite attempts to re-route the highway for decades, no consensus has been passed.

Bolton, CT is home to NHL star Ron Hainsey, the 1st Round Pick of the Montreal Canadiens and the current defense men for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Bolton is very nice and kind of rural. There are no stores there. Just a country store and a pizza joint. Most shopping is done in Manchester. I am not sure if there is even a gas station in town. I think Bolton has the smallest high school with a graduating class of less than 80. Could be nice but would offer limited options for student classes. It is very nice but a real LONG way from LI. I believe in my post above, I mentioned the schools as highly thought of. I worked at the Bolton HS in 2000, and was very impressed.

Bolton Lake- has a fair number of homes around it and some seasonal cottages.

From today's Hartford Courant; Stats on CT Courant.com
Tolland county fastest growing county in the state, followed by Windham county.

Also from todays Hartford Courant (July 12, 2007) from the Union of Concerned Scientists- a rather bleak assessment about climate change in the nutmeg state.
