I currently have Sprint and don't get a good signal, so they provided me with a signal booster that helps greatly. I'm debating switching to AT&T, but am concerned about the coverage. I live off of Black Rock Tpke, near the Merritt Pkwy. Can anyone comment on AT&T's coverage in this area, or in Fairfield County in general. I want the iPhone, but don't want it if it won't work for me....

Thanks!!!

I believe they also have a boost for AT&T, which is said to help. Our whole family has iPhones and we get no reception in our home. Even though I don't live in CT I have heard from others all over the country that AT&T coverage pretty much sucks everywhere. We just deal with it because it is such a cool phone, if I didn't have it I would be on Verizon in a heartbeat.

I've tried most companies over the years. If you can find a phone you like, seriously, go with Verizon. From my experience, they've got the best coverage in the state, out on the water, etc.

Never have a problem with Sprint and I'm all over the place in Fairfield and Westchester. Only problems are Merrit exit 38 and Spots in Redding. Otherwise I been with them since 1996! Reasons why someone sticks with a company for that long.

When I was in CT the coverage in Greenwich was pretty great with AT&T. I imagine it would be good since AT&T is their landline provider. 3G is virtually everywhere too. Of course you may have problems in rural areas with any provider.

I live in the same area, and Sprint was miserable for me. I couldn't wait for my company to finally start dropping them as the carrier of choice. I had AT&T before that, and service was pretty good. But that was before the iPhone 3G came out, so my 3G phone basically had the network to itself. I switched to Verizon a few months ago and, besides a couple of small, random dead spots, it's been very good.

I've had all of them at some point and the best coverage I have found is Verizon. Even in Redding.
