Hi,
I am a working professional Male. I am looking for a apartment or a studio to live in, in Stamford Downtown area. The reason I want to live here is because my office is nearby and I want the walking distance to downtown life. Now my budget is $800-1,000 is there anything reasonable I can get?
I cannot also sign a lease since this is a contract position and if not renewed will expire in June 2011. What can you guys suggest me? I can also shift to a place within 8-10 miles of downtown if I get a very good apartment there...
But my first preference is downtown. I am open to room rentals but I am not getting anything good on craiglist, where else can I search? Pls. guide

Your budget is very modest for Stamford particularly downtown. Check the Stamford Advocate as well as craigslist.com. You might be able to find a share for 6 months. I would expand your search beyond downtown though. You also might want to looking away from Stamford itself. Norwalk or Bridgeport may have something in your price range as well. Jay
