Just saw this in last week's Minuteman. The new station will be ready for operation by November 2011, not spring/summer like many thought.

"There will be about 1,455 parking spaces at the as-yet-unnamed Train Station, which means that about 2,000 to 2,500 new permits will be issued." And, more importantly, "Applications will go first to some of the 4,000 to 5,000 people already on the waiting list." That's good news - there was some talk that people with current permits would have the option of renewing at the new station or staying at the old one, before they went to the waiting list.

Oh, and if you want to vote for the name, go to fairfieldct.org and look at the first link under What's New? for the link to the survey.
