Boehringer Ingelheim Info
Can anyone tell me about Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals in Ridgefield?
I have been working in pharma as a trainer/instructional designer in NJ for the past 12 years and am exploring work in CT. Any insights into the company would be most appreciated.

The company is a major employer in the area. A couple of people I know work for them. My house actually borders of the open space surrounding their large campus in Danbury/Ridgefield. They are always adding staff and expanding their existing their facilities. I don't know anything about the corporate culture of the place.

Check their website out. There is a lot of corporate culture info there. I know several people who do work there and seem happy.

All the shots are called from Germany in this pharma firm. We are in a co-promote with them and ALL direction re: development, marketing, etc. comes from Germany.....

i know some people who work there and are happy. they offer a great benefit package and are located in a nice area. ofcourse, the real estate is pricey in the ridgefield/danbury area so you might have a bit of a commute. it all depends on your paycheck!! i would look into it though.

People who work there seem to love it. I did some consulting myself there for a number of years and always found the people I interacted with to be very professional and knowledgeable. As mentioned, it is a privately-held German company so that influence is strong. The US company is a big supporter of community activities in the greater Ridgefield area and the corporate campus is lovely.

I worked there for a while and didn't like it. I think this was because of who I worked for and my job duties.
I still know others who still work there and really like it. As others said here the campus is beautiful and the benefits are great. Often when leaving for the night you would have to stop for deer & fox crossing the road
