Thanks Jay! You've been a big help. Its surprising you are not an agent with all the knowledge you have! I'm not sure what field you are in, but if it doesn't work out...you certainly have a plan B!!!

I may be posting for simple local advice...first and foremost the best irish pub???? Lord knows I'll need a nice big draft beer after all this! Any advice on a good gym or health club? I'm sicilian so I'll be looking for good italian eats too! Best bakery, restaurant, etc....I'll get to that post eventually. Your help was greatly appreciated! Thanks again...hey, one last question...in CT do they root for the Patriots, Jets or Giants? Looking (and gladly so) for a new football team to root for...after 35 years, the Lions just aren't doing it for me anymore...

Take care,
CC

To answer some of your questions, a lot will depend where you end up living. The area lot of good pubs (not sure how many would be Irish though), gyms and Italian restaurants (there are tons but Carbones in the South End of Hartford has been an icon for 75 years).

As for who to root for in footbal, the Hartford area is primarily Patriots territory but you will find some New York fans too. Baseball is more divided with the areas south of Hartford going for the Yankees and to the north more to the Red Sox. Please though don't start a thread on this. A couple of years ago we had multiple threads that debated this and it went on forever. Jay
