Is Tolland CT the same as Tolland County
Skytrekker mentioned in another message that Tolland county was a bit cheaper etc. to live in as opposed to the Farmington CT area --is Tolland CT the same or different than Tolland County? -- If it is different, what is the "difference" in lifestyle cost of living etc. And also, what are the towns/cities in Tolland County? Thank you.

Rudy
there is a town of Tolland- which is within Tolland county.
Other very nice towns in Tolland county include; Bolton, Ellington, Stafford Springs, Willington, Andover, Hebron, Coventry and Columbia.
In Stafford Springs 55 and up
Isabella's Court, single family homes 199K and up.
The difference between the Farmington Valley and Tolland county; Little sprawl in Toland county; considerably smaller population, less traffic; quieter more laid back and less 'status' living.
Access to the cultural gems of eastern Connecticut; historic sites, great antiques (In Putnam) bed and breakfasts, several wineries, the CT and RI coast.
There will be less in the way of upscale shopping options in Tolland county- although there are Supermarkets and other basics.
Mall Shopping/big box stores is done in Manchester; South Windsor has the upscale Main Street outdoor 'Evergreen Walk'.

All of the counties in Connecticut are named for a major town or city in that county. Hartford County is after HArtford, New HAven County after New Haven; Fairfield County after Fairfield, etc... Just the way it was done 200 years or so ago. Jay
