Tacuba was good. Not amazing, but definitely worth a visit. I'd say the tortillas were better than bartaco, but the meat wasn't quite as tender and flavorful. Although the pastor was definitely better. It's more expensive than bartaco though. Overall we were satisfied. The decor is also very cool. I would definitely welcome a place like Tacuba (or bartaco) in downtown Milford. It would do really well.

Cliff's Quality Meats in the Centerbrook section of Essex, CT (88 Plains Rd., Essex, CT 06426).

REAL butchers. Make all of their own meats. The best you can ever hope to buy. Pick up their stuffed chicken breast! Most, if not all of their deli meats and cheeses are cut, cooked and smoked in-house.

Has anyone been to the new Saugatuck Craft Butchery in Westport? It seems nice, with a lot of good meat - but I haven't ventured in there just because I have a feeling it will all be as expensive as Whole Foods or more given the location.

Have you checked it out already? Wanna know how good their food is..

Anyway, my favorite is the Chicken Cordon Bleu Bites @ Bobby V's!

I have a few places to add that I finally got around to trying a few months ago.

LeFarm in Westport. Easily one of the best restaurants in the area.

Heirloom in New Haven. I've heard mixed reviews, but my meal was great, service impeccable and the atmosphere was very chic and well designed. It wasn't a 5 star meal like LeFarm, but very respectable.

I've also returned to bartaco in Stamford a few times and haven't been disappointed yet. They are opening in West Hartford soon, and I'm sure New Haven isn't far behind.
