Even though it's freezing out, it's still technically spring and when the weather warms up I am always on the search for great seafood. I've been looking for places that serve CT lobster rolls (ie served warm with butter, not cold with mayo) for a while now, and it seems like all the recommended places are north of New Haven.
Does anyone know where you can get a great Connecticut lobster roll in Fairfield County??

Seven Seas in Milford. I had one a few months ago and it was amazing! Good price too, around $15 with a ton of french fries and slaw. Best lobster role I've ever had. Been having cravings to go back.
Also Lazy Lobster in Milford, and Westfair Fish and Chips in Westport are decent. I hear Bridge House in Milford by the Stratford border on 1 is also pretty good.
Danny's Drive-In in Stratford has them too, and always advertises them - but I've never tried it there.
Here's an article on Milford and the CT style lobster roll featuring Seven Seas: http://www.ctpost.com/news/article/S...-as-523288.php

The deli and prepared foods section at Price Chopper has a double lobster roll. It's only $8.99 I think. I'm not sure if any Price Chopper stores exist in Fairfield County though.

YES, absolutely. If anyone wants a fantastic lobster roll, make the trip to Seven Seas. I'm drooling at the thought of going back this year.

Those are cold lobster salad rolls, not hot buttered lobster rolls.
Real Nutmeggers do it in hot drawn butter.

I'll third mkiv808's suggestion of Seven Seas.

Neither of these are near you, but in case you're wandering around one day, I had terrific lobster rolls at each of these two places:
Lenny and Joe's Fish Tale (Westbrook and Madison locations -- I don't know where the heck we were, but we were happy to be there!)
Mickey's Oceanic Grill (East Harford)

Knapp's Landing -- Stratford. On a toasted hamburger bun, dripping with warm butter. Claw meat, traditional Ct. And this one is in Fairfield Cty.
