What happened to Mama Roux's? (in Cromwell, I believe)
My friends and I were just talking about this yesterday... Mama Roux's (in Cromwell, I believe,) was a cajun-style diner that was always packed with people from Wesleyan--and from what I remember, people from all over.
Does anyone know the story behind the restaurant's closure..?

There was a thread on this a couple years ago. They were poorly managed and went out of business. Even if a restaurant is packed, it does not mean it is making money. Jay

Thanks for the info!!
I really liked that place for breakfast... And you're right, Jay, about a restaurant being popular not necessarily equating with it making money-- that place had a line out the door almost every time I went!! It must've been really poorly managed.

Mama Roux's
I worked there when it closed. It was the management and the inability to spend the money to bring it up to fire code. That and the fly infestation.

It was making money. It's just where the money actually went (aka not bills).
