Jay there are no sketchy areas, the area behind ethan allen is high/mill ridge alot of blacks but its safe as hell. Im white and have walked in mill ridge on beaver street and laurel gardens all at night and feel fine. Bad areas of danbury lmao

I think the other posts on this thread differ with your opinion. They mention a number of areas and streets to avoid. Jay

Edit: Didn't even see you said WCSU. Assuming the downtown campus also stay away from Griffing St, Summit St, Ellsworth Ave... There's some ok places around James St and still within walking distance of the campus.

That's not a particularly dangerous area, just lower income and a lot of drug trade. And dumpy.

Granted, it's not what it used to be since the projects got bombed out at the top of the hill, but it's still not a fantastic place to live. I remember back in the 80s and 90s Laurel Gardens was the worst place to be, now there a friggin police station right next door lmao!

Wildman Street and surrounding is bad. It's actually right on the train tracks and near the hospital.
