Just like Wilmingtons overall murders aren't comparable to Philly's.
Irvington, NJ is another bad one.

How is West Haven? Is it safe? I know it used to be a part of New Haven many years ago until it seceded and became it's own city.

It doesn't have the crime level of New Haven. The eastern section is really seedy and that's where most of the crime is. Near where it borders New Haven. There are parts of the town that are fine and relatively safe. The downtown area, northern section, along the water.

It's not nearly at the crime level as Newhallville or the Hill, but there is definitely more crime than, say - Milford or Orange.

This is really outdated, but shows West Haven to have crime at below the national average: Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed

The C-D data page shows it to be at the national average for the past 2 years:http://www.city-data.com/city/West-H...nnecticut.html

That's fine. Unlike NYC, Chicago, etc. the criminals aren't the only ones with guns in New Haven.

And you remind me of why I don't like to isolate myself from the rest of the world.

Far from offended. I don't even understand the act of being offended. And I don't like the video either. I just can't stand the isolationist mentality, because cities have a lot to offer - not just rap and violence.
