Not at all. I think you'd change your view if you lived here.

Very true. There is nothing like Southport or Greenfield. The closest are pockets of Gulf Street and areas of the shore - like Woodmont. Laurel Beach maybe, but that feels almost identical to Fairfield Beach Road. I did not imply it would ever develop pockets of wealth like Southport, but I do think it will increase in popularity over the years - especially as improvements are made on the train line.

most people have this impression, but if you live in the right place, this is dead wrong

if you rent an apartment by the harbor or were to buy a house over there, you would hardly ever have to go to post road, and if you did want to go somewhere on post rd, you could take a back road

Milford is really great. South of cherry st between gulf on the east and seaside on the west is better than many parts of fairfield, trumbull, norwalk etc

That nice area doesn't stop at Gulf Street either, it continues into Woodmont.

And there are really nice/quiet sections of north Milford as well with an almost rural feel. Wolf Harbor, Wheelers Farm, West River and Great River Estates are gorgeous areas with bigger lots.

A very, very small part of Milford is congested. I don't experience it AT ALL on a day to day basis. Traffic was far more frustrating in Danbury.

If you look at past posts, the OP is looking for a more rural type location than Milford has. Nothing against Milford but it is probably more congested than he would like, Jay
