This tuesday I will fly into Hartford's airport and need to travel to Manhattan. How and the quickest way?

CT limo perhaps? They do private cars as well not just airport to airport shuttle.

Connecticut Limo

The quickest way? Fly USAir to La Guardia and then take a cab in to Manhattan. (I have a feeling that is not what you are looking for...) Short of that rent a car and it's about a 2 - 2.5 hour drive to Manhattan without traffic.

Yeah no real easy way to do it, or cheap either. Take a cab to Hartford then take Amtrac??? Ct limo is going to be expensive it's about 130 miles from Bradley airport to Manhattan, I drive it quite often to visit family and traffic down from Fairfield county into the city gets painfully slow depending on time of day. Train may be the most stress free way, only about 15 miles from the airport to Hartford.

My only thought was take CT Limo from Bradley to a NYC airport and rent a car or whatever from there.

A one way from airport to airport is actually not bad. About $75.00 if I remember right.

Quickest, considering traffic and construction and "risk of being stuck in the middle of yet another ridiculous accident on I-84" - I think, would be this:

Take I-91 south from the airport, and pick up Rte 15 around Meriden. Follow 15 all the way down to I-287, south, and follow signs to Manhattan from there.

It's not the most direct, but the most direct - I-84 - is one of the most stupid highways in existence.

As someone whose gone between southern Westchester ("almost NYC") and the Hartford area many times, I've found your way the best of many ways to do it. Though if it's not rush hour, 84 to 684 to 287 will be faster (it's actually slightly more miles that going with rt. 15, but legal 65 mph limits 90% of the way and lots of cars doing 75+, which is much harder to do on Rte. 15). I would definitely do 84 to 684 if it's late at night over rt. 15.

Rent a car right at Bradley. Go 84 west to 684 south to Saw Mill Parkway south. That's the least congested route into the city and is pretty easy. I've done it hundreds of times from Danbury. 2 hours without traffic. Just try and avoid AM rush hour and you'll be fine.

Next quickest way would be a bus or limo/car service.
