Hello All- Looking to relocate to the area and have down research via this site and others about the "city" of Stratford. I get that all towns/cities haves areas that are going to be better than others. However, the area I am looing at is on the border of two areas, Historic District and the South end per a map I found on here outlining sections.

So what is the real deal around the Stratford Ave and South Ave intersection. Do GPS go missing when you forget to take it off your dash, can you take a long walk to get some good dinner, it is a scary walk home late afte ryou hvae some drinks at dinner.

In other words, simply put, would you want your single, 24 year old timid daughter living here all by herself.

Thanks for your feedback in advance!!

This is not the best area of Stratford but it is certainly not the worst either. I do not think I would want my child walking there. Stratford CT Resident is a regular poster here and I am sure he will have a better idea if this concern is real or not. Jay

The border of the historic district would be at the other end of South Ave., at the intersection with Elm Street. I'm not sure of exactly where you're referring to, as the other end of South, at Stratford Ave., is a mix of light industrial and commercial without a residential component. If you wish to send me a DM with a more specific address, i can help you better.
