Hello -

Any people out there who've had a good experience with an inexpensive moving company?

I'm looking to move a studio apartment with 5 big pieces of furniture (bed, sofa, kitchen table, nightstand, mattresses, and chairs) from one part of Norwalk to another (about 5 mins).

Thanks!

Rent a UHaul and get a couple of friends to help you.

If you want to rent a uHaul try to find a mom and pop shop in the area...they'll give you a lower rate, then you're basically just using the services of their moving personnel and hauling the stuff (the insured part, that makes using moving companies expensive) yourself.

"2 guys and a truck" is about the cheapest legit company. You can usually just find 2 guys and a truck on your own for less though.

Check craigslist. I used 99 movers once which i found on craigslist, was very satisfied, but they are too far from Norwalk to be worth it...
